rigid position, because the

right hand has to be in an exact

position over the strings.

This is a big disadvantage for playing live,

because the guitarist cannot talk to the

audience with his body-language by

moving around on stage.

When resting the hand

on the "Picking-Bridge",

the guitarist can play

 standing upright and move

around freely without

missing strings or hitting

wrong notes because

of a misplayed picking hand.
